DUNNAGE BAGS

 

Veltkamp dunnage bags have 5 levels and can be inflated to a thickness of up to 30 cm (12 inches).
 
In practice, level 3 and 4 are virtually the same and are therefore supplied as L3-4.

All bags are refillable and equipped with a safety valve.

Level 1 is certified by the AAR (Association of American Railroads) and the RAC (Railway Association of Canada).

 

Level 0

ECO bags, for truck and container shipments with medicines, hygienic paper, lighting, etc.

Composition: 1 layer of polypropylene, reinforced with nylon woven yarn.

Max. filling pressure: 0.2 bar - 20 kPa - 3 PSI

Level 1

For truck and container shipments with glass bottles, paper products, barrels, furniture, etc.

Composition: 2 layers of polypropylene reinforced with nylon woven yarn.

Max. filling pressure: 0.2 bar - 20 kPa - 3 PSI

 

 

Level 2

For sea containers and 'piggybacks' (container or trailer on a train carriage) with glass, machinery, stone, etc.

Composition: 4 layers of polypropylene reinforced with nylon woven yarn.

Max. filling pressure: 0.28 bar - 28 Kpa - 4 PSI

Level 3-4

For heavier applications on and in train carriages with heavier materials such as glass, machinery, stone, etc.

Composition: 6 layers of polypropylene reinforced with nylon woven yarn.

Max. filling pressure: 0.55 bar - 55 Kpa - 8 PSI

Level 5

For very heavy train and sea freight with rolls of paper, boulders, steel, constructions, etc.

Composition: 8 layers of polypropylene reinforced with nylon woven yarn.

Max. filling pressure: 0.55 bar - 55 Kpa - 8 PSI
